Bamboo is Eco-Friendly and sustainable.
Bamboo grows quickly and needs no pesticides or herbicides. Because it grows so fast (up to one foot every 24 hours) it is one of the most renewable resources on the planet. Bamboo also produces 30% more oxygen than a hardwood forest on the same amount of land and doesn't need to be replanted or fertilized. Its roots are very good at stabilizing erosion prone soil.
Bamboo is anti-bacterial. The fabric keeps the natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties of natural growing bamboo. It also stops bacterial metabolism, which means that it doesn't cause allergic skin reactions.
Bamboo is breathable. In the heat, bamboo is naturally cool to the touch and this property is maintained in its fabric form. The cross-section of the bamboo fiber is filled with various micro-gaps and micro-holes. It has much better moisture absorption and ventilation than conventional fabric. It's also very warm in cold weather, because of the same micro structure; as a base layer, warm air gets trapped next to the skin.
Bamboo is deodorizing. Bamboo’s anti-bacterial properties keep it from absorbing and retaining body and environmental odors. The bamboo charcoal used in making the fabric is similar to the charcoal found in gas filters, this means that bamboo fabric absorbs and decomposes many harmful chemicals found in our everyday environment which includes bad odors.
Bamboo has no static electricity buildup.
Bamboo fabric is incredibly soft. The soft, smooth texture is particularly well-suited to babies’ tender skin |
